My passion for the arts and improving the lives of others leads me to a variety of interests. Below is a short list of the various projects that I am currently working on or have been involved with. I’m always looking for ways to learn and grow as an artist and arts administrator, and I welcome your questions or connections.

I spent Small Business Saturday in Milwaukee at Cival Collective with some amazing creatives. It was such a fun and energizing experience to interact with customers, which is something I don’t normally get to do in my day-to-day studio practice. Being part of such a vibrant and supportive community of makers, sharing stories about my work, and seeing people's reactions to my art firsthand was incredibly rewarding. It was a day that truly celebrated the value of handmade, local artistry, and I left feeling inspired and grateful for the opportunity to participate.

I was thrilled to drop off some chickens at the Center for the Visual arts in Wausau for their Art by the Foot show! This is such a cool show that encourages collectors to purchase smaller works (under a foot!) and the opening reception is Friday, November 15th!

UPDATE: “Sacred Chicken III” Received a juror award and both “Sacred Chickens III” and “Sacred Chickens I” went home with new collectors!

Earlier this fall I brought a BUNCH of artwork to Blue Moon Emporium in Appleton, Wisconsin. If you haven’t been there, I highly recommend you check it out! It is my most favorite gifty-arty-local-goody shop to find all the best stuff!

I’m so proud to have pieces for sale at a place I frequent :)

I spent this summer doing a bit more relaxing and a little less painting, but now that the cooler weather is here I have found myself back in studio daily. It’s been wonderful to get back into making art and I’m very excited to share that this piece “And maybe even experience peace” was accepted into the Miller Art Museum’s 49th Annual Exhibition! The opening reception is on September 27th and the exhibit runs from September 28th - November 9th, I hope you’ll check it out!

I kind of can’t believe that I have artwork for sale in such a beautiful gallery space in Door County! I am thrilled to work with Love Wahlen at Reclaimed & Co in downtown Sturgeon Bay to showcase some of my very colorful paintings.

Finding the right place where my values align is always a top priority! Reclaimed & Co features “bomb ass women makers” and follows a “be kind & stay weird” mantra that I absolutely resonate with. I also can’t forget to mention the commitment to using salvaged and recycled materials! Talk about a perfect fit to me :)

2024 is shaping up to be a busy year! From March-May, I have 15 paintings on display (most for sale!) at La Vie Taverne in De Pere, WI. I am so thrilled that Terri & David of newARTSpace gallery offered me this amazing opportunity. I’ll be attending the upcoming Art Nite events in April & May, you should come see me!

I was asked to be a featured artist at the newARTSpace gallery in De Pere, Wisconsin for their January 2024 exhibit. The newARTSpace gallery is rooted in their love for art and I’m so honored and excited to be a part of this exhibition.

As 2023 came to a close, I worked with Kara Counard of Bloom Photography to have lifestyle/studio portraits taken to capture me and my work to document my brand. I am absolutely thrilled with the photos Kara captured and hope you’ve enjoyed seeing them throughout my website. Learn more about Kara’s work here.

In 2023, I was the recipient of a 40 Under 40 Award from Insight Magazine. The award recognizes and celebrates the accomplishments of young professionals who have made significant civic and professional contributions to their communities. It was an honor to be included among such a diverse group of individuals, and I take pride in continuing to make a positive impact on my community.

I absolutely love my current role as Operations Coordinator for the Artisan & Business Center at NWTC. Overseeing the daily operations allows me to provide direct support to artists and the arts in Northeast Wisconsin while immersing myself in creativity every single day. I’m proud of the growth of the “An Artist’s Journey” series and launching the center’s business-focused residency program in 2020 to help artists develop entrepreneurial skills and learn from mentors. I invite everyone to explore what the Artisan and Business Center can offer!
